Once registered online you can:

• browse our catalogue immediately,
• reserve library items, and
• access online collections through our eResources section.

Joining Hutt City Libraries is FREE for all Hutt City residents and ratepayers. A free annual membership is also offered to students attending schools in Hutt City. If you live outside Hutt City memberships are $100 per year or $2 per item borrowed.

Please remember to bring personal identification (driver's licence or similar) and proof of your current address when you visit one of our libraries to pick up your library card. If you're under 16, remember you'll need to bring a parent/guarantor along.

Conditions of Membership

• I agree that the information that I have provide on the registration form is correct.
• I will notify the Hutt City Libraries if I change address.
• I will let Hutt City Libraries know if my card is lost or stolen as I am liable for items borrowed before the loss is reported.
• I accept responsibility for all items issued and charges incurred against this registration.
  Young people (under 16) need a parent or guardian as their guarantor. In signing as a guarantor you are accepting responsibility for any charges incurred on that card.
• I acknowledge that my personal information will be held by Hutt City Council and will be used to provide library services to me. I can request changes at any time in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993.
